With the utmost gratitude I'm writing to you today over one year after my daughter first met with you and I am so happy to say that she is pain-free thanks to your expertise. My daughter started having severe pelvic pain and burning during her sophomore year in high school at age 15. After going to at least 15 other medical professionals and receiving treatments, high doses of hormones, special diets and even surgeries for conditions she didn't have and the symptoms were not improving, she became hopeless that the pain would ever go away. Of course reading the Internet can make things even worse with reports of people who never got rid of the pain. “This man is a MIRACLE WORKER. I have been suffering from Neuro proliferative vestibulodynia for 6 years. I went to the best doctors, many told me I am imagining it. Some told me they dont know what I have, and the ones who did know, just didn't know how to properly treat me. “For five years, I feel like my body was broken, worrying that this kind of pain would last forever because-as many doctors told me-it was all in my head. But it wasn't something I was simply imagining, and I came to an understanding of what was happening to my body after meeting an incredibly empathetic doctor: Dr. Hamod. It can be scary to seek treatment for any kind of pelvic problem, and I was especially nervous since I suffer from PTSD. However, Dr. Hamod and his staff-through their reassurance-helped me feel less ashamed. I often hear opinions from women, including my own previous opinions, that I feel more comfortable going to a woman doctor and I want to go to someone who knows what it feels like to be a woman. "When I turned 51, my GYN advised me that I had acute vaginal atrophy. The only available treatment at that time to soothe the itching and dryness was estrogen. However, as a breast cancer survivor, this was not recommended. So I managed as best I could with lubricants. By the time I was 60, I had added burning to the list of symptoms and was quite frantic. Premarin vaginal cream became my friend in spite of the cancer risk. As the years went on, it became impossible to have sex because of the pain and bleeding. Upon turning 70, I was a real mess with vaginal tearing, fissures, and intense burning.
